Valspar Makes Big Splash in European Market

Minneapolis, Minn. (December 1, 2011) – Star, a leading global marketing solutions provider, won the assignment to create Valspar’s new exhibit debuting in Hamburg, Germany at the 2011 Intermodel show. The exhibit, which maximized the footprint on the ground and up in the air with big, bold brand messaging, was a resounding success. The exhibit was deemed an overall favorite by the Intermodel Association as well as attendees, with results that matched the accolades. “I just wanted to thank you for the great support you provided us in Hamburg this past week, says Valspar Events Manager. “You certainly made our first experience with Star a successful one.”

Star’s design approach positioned Valspar as a global industrial coatings manufacturer, in addition to presenting their new product Acquaguard, ™ an innovative, ocean-worthy coating for shipping containers. Creative product and iPad displays highlighted Acquagard’s superior corrosion protection that significantly lowers emissions and VOCs typically associated with the container coating process. Star ingeniously integrated a treated container within the exhibit’s open environment, making it a showcase feature. Adjacent to the shipping container were private meeting rooms and a primary hospitality area. Lightweight fabric walls, with bold brand messaging, surrounded three sides of the exhibit, while the fourth wall intentionally blocked off a neighboring competitor. The overall effect, augmented by dramatic lighting, was warm, engaging and welcoming.
