The set-up for the Zurich Classic golf tournament in New Orleans is definitely unique. For many years I’ve led the set-up for this event which includes multiple outdoor signs, branding at the entrance, a courtyard, and five large tents/structures spread across 10,000 square feet of space.
The set-up typically lasts 25 days and the team and I have had some interesting experiences during these 25 days; everything from monsoon like storms and extreme heat to alligators and water moccasins. There are typically eight alligators on the course and we’ve been handling this event for so long that we’ve started to name them. No matter what Mother Nature has sent our way, we’ve done whatever we needed to do to make sure we hit our deadlines.
